With two fantastic albums and two brilliantly successful gigs at London's legendary 606 Club behind her, Niki Vörös, one of Hungary’s very best, is a true jazz singer, the real thing, who is capable of turning any tune into high quality jazz.

Niki's slightly smoky voice fits the tradition, she improvises with startling originality but with due restraint. She sings from the heart and is also on the same wavelength with her topline musicians who are László Vörös on piano, Gábor Subicz on trumpet, Tibor Csuhaj-Barna on bass and György Jeszenszky on drums. Horn player Gábor Subicz was invited separately from Niki to show off his wares at the 606, which he did brilliantly.

Boss of Gats Production, the Japanese record distributor and import company found both Niki’s albums by just surfing on the net. He was so impressed that he ordered both but could only launch one for the time being because the first one had already sold out in Hungary.
