Women of May 26 in Budapest, ELTE Budapest, 18 November
"May 26 women'' is a project of the "Mirabaldebi" non-governmental organization, which aims to popularize the first Georgian women parliamentarians.

They were active members of the founding assembly of Georgia and adopted and changed laws. And most importantly, they fought tirelessly against the cruel Soviet system, until the end of their lives.

In addition to these women being outstanding figures in the history of Georgia, we think that they are an example for the whole world that managing the country was a task that women were exceptionally good at even a long time ago.

In 1919, when women in many countries of the world were fighting for political rights, and the rulers, including most of the society, were suspicious of women's abilities, there was a country where five women were involved in the management of important processes for the country - and perhaps they did not even realize at the time through their work, they wrote the history of not only one small country but the history of the whole world.

The event will be held on the joint initiative of Tamuna Japaridze, the young ambassador of Georgia to Hungary, and Mirabaldebi, With the support of Elte University
Place: ELTE Budapest
Address: 1088 Budapest, Múzeum körút 4/a, Building A, Kari Tanácsterem
