The ensemble presents the most beautiful gems of the folk music and folk dance treasures of the Carpathian Basin. The choreographies in the edited programme are the works of the most outstanding choreographers of contemporary Hungarian dance.

Founded in 1975 in Salgótarján, the Nógrád Dance Ensemble is now Nógrád County’s folk dance ensemble with the richest past, and is operated by the Public Foundation for Folk Dance Art of Salgótarján, founded in 1998.
