The Hungarian National Ballet Institute is delighted to invite you to an exclusive Open Day, offering a glimpse into its daily training and major events.
Visitors will have the opportunity to observe classes, meet esteemed masters and students in person, and learn about the structure and behind-the-scenes aspects of the training program. Additionally, through recorded footage, guests can get a glimpse of exams and performances. Of course, any questions will also be answered.
Founded in September 2016 by the Hungarian State Opera and the Hungarian National Ballet, the Hungarian National Ballet Institute welcomes applications from children aged 4 to 14. Students receive professional training, starting with two one-hour sessions per week for the youngest and progressing to an intensive schedule of up to 25 hours per week for the most advanced students.
The curriculum is based on the Vaganova method of classical ballet and is complemented by modern dance, tap, folk dance, character dance, as well as rhythmic gymnastics (RG) and Pilates. Currently, the program spans 10 academic levels, with the youngest students still in kindergarten and the oldest being 16 years old.
The faculty consists of renowned ballet masters, many of whom were former dancers of the Hungarian National Ballet.
