Borbély – Dresch Quartet, Opus Jazz Club Budapest, 1 October
“The band is a joint project of Mihály Borbély and Mihály Dresch, two of the greatest wind instrument players in Hungarian ethno-jazz, where they create a new quality that transcends usual formulas and genre definitions. Their shared musical world is sometimes melancholic, yet characterized by countless musical flavors and emotional richness, featuring elements of jazz as well as motifs from the folk music of the Carpathian Basin,” wrote Dániel Végh about the quartet's work.

The band last recorded their joint creative work in 2018 on the album Körbe-körbe (Round and Round), and at their live concerts we can witness time and again how these four outstanding artists put their impressive musical knowledge at the service of conveying profound life experiences.
