Sena DagaDub – Special guest: Gábor Presser, National Concert Hall Budapest, 30 March
The Hungarian-Ghanaian Sena Dagadu is a significant figure in 21st-century Hungarian pop music. Her more meditative Sena DagaDub trio is highly popular alongside the Irie Maffia band she also performs with, and her solo projects.

In 2024, the trio hosted Gábor Presser, a living legend of the Hungarian music scene, at Müpa Budapest. The collaboration was so successful that the project is now continuing to the delight of both parties – and, of course, the audience.

The dub-infused, Afro-rhythmic music augmented with flute and other wind instruments intersects with Sena's nature-inspired imagery: trees, feathers, wings, birds.

It’s no wonder that in this deeply rooted, organic musical worldview, they quickly connected with Presser, who was able to soar freely within the singer's meditative, repetitive soundscape – making it perhaps only natural that the concept of this evening’s program should revolve around the theme of birds.
