EXISTENCE is a tango dance theatre work that follows along the journey of human life — from the drifting impetus of youth to the quiet insight of old age. This journey is born in the tango, in the intimacy of the embrace, through the deep connection between the soul and the body.
The play is not the story of one man. It is the story of each of us — all of us carry the same questions, just in different forms. Individual destinies merge in the movements, and the common human experience emerges: searching, encounters, separation, and understanding.
In the performance, the tango is a walk between souls. To move together, to listen together, to carry the weight together — that is the true connection. A hug is the most ancient gesture: it protects, lifts, and reflects. On stage, it returns again and again, though in different guises and with different characters — and yet it always remains the same: the embodiment of human unity.
As time goes on, the movement becomes clearer. After the storms of youth comes understanding, followed by calm. Time does not take — it puts layers on us, which become wisdom. In the end, we don’t want to have and we don’t want answers—we just want to be.
EXISTENCE does not tell a story. It holds up a mirror. Viewers see themselves in it — as a child, a lover, a seeker, a learner, and then an acceptor.
