Based on the number of attendees, and the wonderful feedback received from them, it is safe to say that the event was a success, and a great step towards making these celebrations a tradition in the future.

Special thanks go to the VIP guest of the evening, HM Ambassador Greg Dorey for accepting our invitation and for the fascinating story he shared with the audience about St. George in his opening speech.

Help from the Embassy did not stop there, as Mr. Jamie Banks, Head of UKTI agreed to act as Master of Ceremony throughout the evening, which was no easy task, but was in the safest hands with him, for which we are very grateful.

We would like to thank our partners in organising this event for their co-operation, especially hotel GM Adrian Ellis, plus Andrea Horváth and the team at the Corinthia for their help and support, as well as the excellent service received on the day of the event.

The organisers are also grateful for the support received from the main sponsors of the event, PricewaterhouseCoopers and SEK Budapest International School.

We would also like to express our gratitude towards the Tóth Bori team for the wonderful fashion show they organised, as well as the prize they offered and the discount vouchers they provided to all the attendees of the event.

VisitBritain has kindly supplied the beautiful decoration, for which we are very thankful, as well as for the help of Hotel AV Services for providing the audiovisuals for the event.

The programme guests enjoyed in the Ballroom could not have been realised without the help of the Gabrieli Choir, who agreed to add their beautiful performance; and Mr. Alexis Latham from Impact Training and the Scallabouche Theatre Company, who delivered a speech from Shakespeare's Henry V: an honour to the Bard as well as to St. George.

On top of the wonderful English menu and the drinks provided by the hotel, guests were also given the chance to enjoy some Guinness courtesy of Diageo. Although not exactly English, Guinness is loved just as much there as in its home in Ireland, so we thought it would add a nice touch to the service at the event.
