The attackers verbally assaulted the victims and demanded cash while brandishing a knife. One of the assailants took money and cigarettes from one of the activists and tried to take a mobile phone from the other. When the second activist resisted, the attacker injured him with a knife.

One of the victims suffered minor injuries. Both filed a report with 13th District police after the incident.

Fidesz said in a statement it finds it alarming that political aggression is growing in the district."
