Former Communist In Hungary Turned Socialist Turned Conservative Turns… Socialist
Noone knows why Sandor Csintalan has so much money and power. Despite this, he is about to acquire Nepszabadsag, the biggest left-leaning daily in Hungary, Magyar Nemzet reported. The media mogul said he intends to restore the democratic balance of the Hungarian media system (ed: did that ever exist?!).

Csintalan, who is a former Hungarian communist party member (MSzMP), socialist MP and conservative TV talk show host, is known for his never-ending skirmishes with the extreme right. In December 2007, he was beaten and seriously injured by such as group going by the name of Hungarians’ Arrows Liberation Army.

Experts suspect the motives to have been Csintalan’s outbursts against journalist Jozsef Hering, who is said to be affiliated with the extremist portal kuruc.info.
