Hungarian Govt Centralised PR Office Starts Operations
A central communications office called the National Communication Office will carry out communications-related procurement for a wide spectrum of state institutions starting October 10.

The new office will take over the public procurement tasks related to marketing, public relations, research and communication activities from central budget-funded institutions, such as ministries as well as from directly or indirectly majority stateowned companies, according to a decree.

The office will not be responsible for the PR of independently-run state administrative or institutions bodies such as the central bank or regulators.

The National Communication Office will be run under the authority of the cabinet office.
