Hungarians Injured In Nepal Quake
Four Hungarians were injured in Saturday’s earthquake in Nepal and are receiving treatment at a church-run hospital, Foreign Affairs Minister Péter Szijjártó told reporters in Budapest on Tuesday. Another two of the 44 Hungarians known to be in Nepal on Saturday have not been contacted directly. Eighteen Hungarians have left Nepal since the disaster.

Meanwhile, a special medical and rescue team from the University of Debrecen will set off for Nepal today to help earthquake victims.

András Késmárky, president of the organisation, said they will take with them about Ft 30 million worth of medical and diagnostics equipment, including satellite communication equipment.

The Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Organisation is collecting cash and so far Ft 6 million has arrived on an aid line for the purchase of food, medicine and clothing.
