Libri Drops Dobson’s Discipline

The bookstore chain Libri decided to drop the Hungarian translation of Dare to Discipline by James Dobson from its selection after reading the chapter that recommends that parents spank their children. Dobson offers recommendations on selecting the right object for spanking and the best part of the child’s body to spank.
The publisher of the Hungarian version is the Christian Knowledge Spreading Foundation.
After business weekly HVG published an article on the content of the book, about a thousand psychologists and child education experts signed a petition against the promotion of child spanking, which is banned in Hungarian law.
