Authority Seizes 500 Kg Marijuana At Serbia Border

The national tax and customs office seized around half a tonne of marijuana with a black market value of around 1 billion forints (EUR 3.2m) at the Serbian border, the authority said.

The haul was found concealed in a hidden part of the truck of an Albanian driver who sought entry to Hungary at the Röszke border crossing on Monday morning.

The authority also found over a kilo of what is suspected to be hashish in the truck.

Legal proceedings are under way.
