Vibefest, Best Of Budapest’s Indie Rock, Trafik Club, 28 April
Vibefest is a free music night featuring the best of Budapest’s upcoming indie rock scene, held on the Saturday of the upcoming long weekend.

The event will be hosted by Trafik Klub one of the most atmospheric music clubs in town, official successor of former cult underground venue, Tilos az Á. Entry will be free of charge.

24-year-old one-man music machine from London, Dennie Wander will kick-off the festival at 8:30pm.

In 2016, Dennie set off on an adventure around Europe, visiting 15 cities, where he busked and played in bars. He settled in Budapest, where he started to develop his own music. Dennie is a storyteller who invites you into his world, to share the highs and the lows, the glory and the setbacks.

He will be followed by Jeff Joyner and the Serial Chillers. What started off as a couple expat musicians collaborating in open mic and jam events within Budapest, Hungary’s famous party district has since exploded into a cohort of like-minded band mates.

The Serial Chillers’ unique sound is best described as funky soulful party music. There are flavors of funk, blues, rock, RnB, psychedelia, soul, and hip hop. The Serial Chillers combine originality, excellent musicianship, and on-stage charisma to deliver memorable performances every time. Once you see them play, you won’t forget it.

Vibefest will be headlined by former ex-pat favourite, The Vibe returning from a two-year hiatus with a new lineup and fresh, energetic covers from bands like Snow Patrol, Coldplay, The Cure, Editors, The Stone Roses, The Zutons, MGMT, The Killers, The Smiths, The Police, Kaiser Chiefs, Stone Temple Pilots, Jamiroquai, Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes, Living Colour, Placebo and more. Dynamic guitar solos, tight rhythms and harmonies guaranteed!

Editors have never been a band who do what’s expected. When they emerged in the early 2000s, university friends from Birmingham, they were swept into a wave of indie groups with whom they had little in common beyond playing guitars.
