Tourist Guest Nights Slip 0.8% In April
Guest nights spent in Hungarian hotels and lodgings edged down 0.8% to 2,230,000 in April, from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) says.

Guest nights spent by foreign visitors fell by 2.2% to 1,213,000, while nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 0.9% to 1,017,000.

Revenues grew by 6.6% to 39 billion forints during the period.

Revenue per available room (REVPAR) at hotels rose by 3.7% to 12,331 forints.

Occupancy rate at hotels inched up three-tenths of a percentage point to 61.2%.
