According to Doctor 24 the company was placed under liquidation due to judicial irregularities and judicial malpractice, Koka said.

Doktor24 lost a second-instance proceedings initiated against it due to a previous supplier claim.

They received the decision on Monday, at which time they paid the supplier, but by that time the entry about the liquidation procedure had already appeared in the gazette, Koka said.

Koka noted that Doktor24 is a profitable company with a turnover of HUF 20bn.

It pays its bills, its employees, performs hundreds of thousands of specialized examinations and thousands of surgeries every year and there is no reason that would make its liquidation necessary or possible, he added.

Court terminates liquidation procedure against Doktor24

The Budapest Metropolitan Court has terminated the liquidation procedure against Doktor24 Medicina with retroactive effect, the management of Doktor24 said on Friday.

According to their statement, the documents they submitted adequately proved that Doktor24 had paid its previously disputed debt in full. Thus, there was no insolvency and no reason to conduct the liquidation procedure, they said.

Court says Doktor24 liquidation procedure was in order

The liquidation procedure of Doktor24 Medicina, which was initiated more than two years ago and publicly disputed by the company, complied with the relevant laws in all respects, the Budapest Metropolitan Court said in a statement on Thursday.

The court acted cooperatively and helpfully throughout, while also adhering to the general rules of the civil procedure act and even informing the parties about the interim measures to be taken, the court said.

It noted that the creditor's request for the liquidation of Doktor24 was received by the Budapest Metropolitan Court on May 24, 2024. In its ruling dated January 22, 2025, the court established the debtor's insolvency and ordered the debtor's liquidation in its main proceedings.
