The absolute majority of the Hungarian adult population supports restricting the LGBTQ community parade in order to protect children, according to a fresh survey by the Nezopont Institute.
Enough of the hypocritical 'pride' and the lecturing by pro-Brussels MEPs," Zsuzsanna Borvendég, an MEP of the opposition Our Homeland party, said in a statement on Saturday.
On June 28, CitizenGO and several conservative organisations are planning a demonstration in Kossuth Square, aiming to defend what they describe as Christian values in opposition to LGBTQ rights movements and Pride events.
Those regularly attending the weekly demonstrations "are showing determination and resilience, the only things besides force that the powers that be are afraid of," independent lawmaker Akos Hadhazy said in downtown Budapest.
