Update: Keleti Railway Station Opened On 27 May
Budapest’s Keleti railway station was closed between May 13-26 for maintenance works. The Ft 2.1 billion maintenance project was funded by MÁV.

During that period, each of the affected railway lines will run according to a modified timetable, MÁV communications director Dániel Loppert told reporters.

The closure will affect 160,000 ticket-purchasing passengers, and a further 1,000 passengers with passes. Six main lines and a number of other secondary lines will also be affected.
