Hungary’s Retail Sales Growth Accelerates To 6.9% In July
Retail sales in Hungary grew by 6.9% in July from the same month a year earlier, accelerating from a 4.3% increase in June, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

Calendar-adjusted data show retail sales were up 6.4% year on year in July.

Adjusted food sales were up 4.5%, non-food sales climbed by 9% and vehicle fuel sales by 5.3%. In absolute terms, retail sales came to 1,066 billion forints in July.

In January-July retail sales rose by 5.8%, according to both unadjusted and calendar year-adjusted data. Adjusted food sales grew by 3.1%, non-food sales by 8.6% and fuel sales increased by 7.5%.
