Fifth District Fidesz mayor Péter Szentgyörgy¬völgyi on Thursday dedicated the renovated Podmaniczky Frigyes tér in Budapest. He said 82 saplings had been planted and the green space was increased by 30%.

“By urban standards we created a real forest downtown,” he declared.

He said the square is not only a metro station and a bus terminal, but also a park, where it is worth stopping for a rest and to meet others.
The area available to pedestrians has considerably expanded, as the trolleybus terminus has been relocated.
The total cost of the project is near Ft 1.2 billion.
