Individuals Can Get E-Bike Subsidy In Hungary
The tender for electric bicycle purchase subsidies opens on Monday, Innovation and Technology Ministry state secretary Péter Kaderják announced.

A total of Ft 1 billion has been set aside for this programme.

The first round of accepting applications ends on November 27. Thereafter, windows for applications will open on a monthly basis until October 29, 2021 or when the budget for the scheme runs out.

Individuals who will use the e-bikes for travel to their workplace are entitled to apply.

The subsidy may cover up to 50% of the purchase price, but not more than Ft 90,000 for speed sensor bikes and Ft 150,000 for torque sensor bikes.

Support for the purchase of e-bikes contributes to improving the air quality in cities, Kaderják added.
