Palkovics Opens Lake Tisza Bicycle Path In Hungary
Innovation and Technology Minister László Palkovics opened the newly completed 67km bicycle path around Lake Tisza in Poroszló, Heves county on Saturday.

State infrastructure developer NIF invested Ft 3.1 billion in building the last 6.5km section between Poroszló and Tiszafüred, including four bridges.

Palkovics said the ministry will consider the proposal filed by the Bicycle Club and the Bicycle Industry Association on expanding the state subsidy available for electric cars also to bicycles which have an electric engine.

These bikes can be used for commuting, which is a legitimate goal of state aid, as well as helping the elderly who can cycle with help, he added.
