Coronavirus: Ukraine Lists Hungary Among Risky Countries
The Ukrainian Health Ministry has placed Hungary in the red zone on its newly updated list of countries classified as risky regarding coronavirus infections.

Those entering Ukraine from red countries must go into quarantine or verify with tests the absence of infection.

China, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Albania, Georgia and Russia are also listed among the risky countries.

The decision by Ukraine is surprising, as 21 newly infected people were registered in Hungary over the weekend, compared to 1,172 in Ukraine, and 64 in Zakarpattia alone, local Hungarian website Kárpátalja observed.

The Hungarian Cultural Federation in Zakarpattia described the decision as professionally unfounded and ill-considered, and demanded an immediate reassessment.

The Federation said the decision affects hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens negatively and causes considerable economic losses to the country.

The association considers it important that Ukraine should ensure transport without quarantine in a 30-kilometre zone along the border.
