Only 63% of Hungarian Companies Have Websites, Well Under EU Average
About 63% of Hungarian companies have home pages, well under the 77% average for the whole European Union, according to data from last year compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The rate of Hungarian companies with home pages is also behind that in its Visegrád Four peers at 83% in the Czech Republic, 71% in Poland, and 76% in Slovakia.

KSH noted that while more than four-fifths of companies in the energy and ICT sectors have a website, just half of the firms in the logistics or construction sectors have one.

Among companies with websites, 81% use them to provide information about their products and services, 38% contain links to the company's social media accounts, 28% offer online purchases and 14% provide a way to track purchases.

Only 1.5% have chatbot services.

The KSH data also shows fewer Hungarian companies purchase cloud-based services than peers in many other EU member states.
