Loss-Making Local Low-Cost Airline Goes on Hiring Spree
Wizz Air plans to add 4,600 pilots to its staff by 2030 and has already started recruitment, the company announced on Friday.

Wizz Air has trained 150 new pilots this year and wants to increase the number by more than 300 by year-end in order to operate at pre-crisis capacity and reach 2021 targets, the airline said.

Pilots joining Wizz Air will fly Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft on more than 800 routes between 191 destinations in 49 countries.

The company also announced that CEO József Váradi’s contract has been extended by five years.

Wizz Air closed the last three months of 2020 with a Ft 41 billion loss.
