Airbnb Hungary Offers Help in Restarting Tourism
Airbnb has announced its five-point programme for helping the restart of tourism in Hungary, the online accommodation marketplace operator said.

The company, in co-operation with the Hungarian Tourism Agency, supports a more even distribution of tourism business in and around Budapest, so that a larger region and more people can share the economic benefits created by tourism.

Airbnb will launch a Neighbourhood Support Line for the neighbours of accommodation providers, through which those concerned can report directly to Airbnb if they experience noise or other disturbances.

Airbnb will require new accommodation providers to register with the National Tourist Information Centre, as part of its co-operation with the government.

The company will share regional data with Budapest and the government through the City Portal, so optimising the business impact of Airbnb on local communities.

The company is offering to work with Budapest to automatise the collection and transfer of the tourism tax through the Airbnb site, said Central and Eastern European public affairs director Vladimir Beroun.
