2022 Had 3rd Driest Q1 in Hungary Since 1901
This year was the third driest first quarter in Hungary on a national average since 1901, the National Meteorological Service said on its Facebook page.

The Met Service wrote that the Mediterranean cyclone, which arrived on Thursday of last week, brought rainfall to much of the country for the first time in weeks, in some places, months.

The quarter fell short of a record due to the rainfall during the final days, but it was still the third driest first quarter since 1901.

According to preliminary data, 42.6 millimeters of rain fell nationwide in the first three months. Only the first quarters of 1918 and 1949 were drier.
