Opera Star Netrebko to Perform Arias in Budapest on 25 September
Opera star Anna Netrebko will give a two-part concert in the Budapest State Opera on Sunday, 25 September.

Taking the Budapest Opera’s stage for the first time, Netrebko will perform a romantic evening of songs and arias with pianist Pavel Nebolsin, and the participation of mezzo-soprano Elena Maximova and violinist Kurt Mitterfellner.

The programme includes songs by Debussy, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov and Richard Strauss, as well as arias from Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades, Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Saint-Saens’ Samson and Delilah and Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann operas.

During her illustrious career spanning almost three decades, Anna Netrebko has become indisputably a prominent performer of the first decades of the 21st century.

Her rich repertoire includes almost all the iconic female characters of opera literature, whom she portrays with great success on all major opera stages around the world.

Although she has worked with OPERA on numerous occasions, she will now take the stage of the Ybl Palace on Andrássy Avenue for the first time, where she will perform a romantic evening of songs and arias with pianist Pavel Nebolsin, and the participation of mezzo-soprano Elena Maximova and violinist Kurt Mitterfellner.

The programme begins at 7:30pm.
