Watch: MPs Remove Barriers Outside Orbán's Office in Buda Castle
For the second consecutive morning, Momentum MPs removed the barriers set up outside the Prime Minister’s office in Buda Castle that were erected 18 months ago.

The barriers block the public road leading to the office, thereby depriving reporters of a rare opportunity to encounter and question cabinet ministers directly.

The barriers were put in place because of a nearby construction work, but the protesting MPs say little work has gone on there recently.

They describe the barrier as a symbol of government propaganda and of restrictions on press freedom.

Momentum president Ferenc Gelencsér declared “there are no free elections without a free press, genuine public service media and fair release of information.”

Cabinet office state secretary Csaba Dömötör arrived and answered questions from journalists. He said cabinet members are at the disposal of the media.

Independent MP Ákos Hadházy said police had begun misdemeanour proceedings against him for his role in dismantling the barrier as he is considered to be the organiser of the act.

He said he would give up his right to immunity to face related charges.
