'Tour De Hongrie' Cycling Race to be Held Between May 10 - 14
The Tour de Hongrie will be held between May 10 and 14, and will contain five stages covering 879km and ending in Budapest, organisers said.

The race will include three stages on level terrain around Szentgotthárd in western Hungary, between Zalaegerszeg and Keszthely, and the closing stretch starting and ending in Budapest, they said.

One of the two mountain stages will be between Kaposvár and Pécs in southern Hungary, and the other between Martonvásár and the mountain of Dobogókő, near Budapest, they said.

Organisers are expecting 22 teams to compete in the race covering a total of 879km and 7,554m elevation.

    Lots of fans could see the final stage of the 42nd edition of Tour de Hongrie, on the TV-screens worldwide, on the streets, in the venue. The route covered a beautiful part of Budapest, at the end Belgian Edward Theuns became the winner of the stage, Australia’s Damien Howson won the general classification.
