Green Plates to Be Withdrawn From Hybrid Cars in Hungary
According to a recent draft government decree, hybrid cars will no longer be able to receive a new green number plate from September 1.

In addition, owners of these cars will have to return their existing green plates by November 30, 2026, at the latest.

The government stated that it wishes to restrict the benefits of the green number plates to purely electric and zero-emission cars.
