Major Footwear Retailer in Hungary to Change Pricing Practices After Official Probe
The Competition Office (GVH) has closed a proceeding against CCC after the footwear retailer agreed to adopt a more transparent display of its pricing.

The GVH investigated the company and two other retailers, Answear and About You, suspecting that the display of several different prices on products at the same time could mislead consumers.

CCC agreed to display only the discounted price and the lowest price in the previous 30 days as required by law since May 2022.

Despite regulations aimed at creating transparency in pricing, some retailers still deceive consumers by showing a marked-up price, or charge fictitious prices that never applied previously.
