Indian People Smuggler Wanted by Hungarian Police Detained
A man of Indian nationality wanted by the Hungarian authorities on suspicion of people smuggling has been detained in Italy, police.hu reported.

The 26 year old suspect, believed to have been a member of a people smuggling ring of Pakistanis and Indians, was apprehended in Italy's Piemont region.

The gang helped illegal migrants travel to Western Europe in 2023-2024.

An Italian decision on the date of extraditing the suspect to Hungary is pending.
