Horizont: International Contemporary Dance Festival in Miskolc, 22 - 26 April
This year, the Miskolc National Theatre will organize the Horizont International Contemporary Dance Festival for the eighth time between April 22 and 26, the organizers told MTI.

In addition to the Hungarian performers, dance companies and performers from Greece, Italy and Poland will be coming to Miskolc this year. 

The Greek Vasiliki Papapostolou's performance Panopticon "explores the internal conflict between the ego, the superego and the subconscious", while the Polish Teatr Rozbark company will be a guest at the festival with the production Late Lovers in the Moon's Court.

The performance Fático will be coming to Miskolc from Italy, courtesy of Orbita | Spellbound National Production Center for Dance, with choreography by Irene Russolillo. The performance will also be performed by Thomas Bianca's Project Measurements, a movement theater performance brought to the stage by an international team, they announced.

There will be no shortage of Hungarian productions at the festival. Those interested can watch Ferenc Fehér's performance Disco 142, in which the actors "feel a little nostalgic about discos, parties, and flirting" in the language of dance. 

Director-choreographer János Feledi will bring Ferenc Molnár's work Liliom to Miskolc in the form of a dance performance with the fifteen-year-old Feledi Project.
 

Léna Megyeri and Ádám Bősze will return to the festival for the third time, and their music history presentation this year focuses on the topic of fashion, but those interested can also watch the performance titled You and the World by the Inversedance–Zoltán Fodor Company, with which the producers pay tribute to the work of Lőrinc Szabó.

According to the organizers, in this year's choreography by Johanna Kozma, the performance titled paTTern, " the audience can see a kind of depiction of childhood and adult relationship types ."

The Fitos Dezső Company is preparing for the festival with a puppet theater production titled Tündérhinta.

The Pécs Ballet will bring the performance Carmina Burana to Miskolc, while Genoa awaits the audience with a free outdoor performance with its duet Winds and Waves. 

The Miskolc Ballet is also preparing its own performance for the Horizont festival, and continues the series of fairy tale ballets, as after János vitéz, Rózsa és Ibolya, and A helység kalapácsa, it will now perform the story of Háry János.
