- 5 May 2011 11:35 AM
"Daffodils in early spring create an amazing flowers carpet at this 13 hectare Hungarian nature reserve known as Pasha's Garden. The garden was created in the Turkish period of Hungarian history. The Turkish primarily established rose gardens, but in Babócsa this garden was filled with snow-white 'narcissus'. Planting was carried out with such care that even now, several centuries later, the flowers open every May attracting increasing numbers of visitors from all over the world.
In addition to the daffodils, many wild flowers adorn this landscape. Important heritage buildings are also situated in this protected area. Archaeologists have excavated an Árpád Age monastery and a Turkish baths in the middle of the park."

Phone: 72/517-200
