Budapest Showcase Hub: 30 Performers & Speakers from 15 Countries Over 3 days
Now in its tenth year, the Budapest Showcase Hub (BuSH) is a popular club festival, which this year will feature over thirty artists from fifteen countries at Turbina, Gödör and Akvárium Klub between 29th - 31st October.

BuSH will once again showcase the freshest performers from the Central and Eastern European region. The musicians performing are well-known in their home countries, but new for audiences in Hungary.

Visitors can hear Polish-Colombian baile funk, Ukrainian guitars, Zagreb skateboard hits, ethereal electronics and the best of contemporary club sounds.

There will also be a young superstar from Mexico, and the future of major festivals, including Sziget, will be discussed, the organisers told MTI.

This year's festival will be particularly strong in electronic music, and not only because the outstanding Hungarian downtempo artist Analog Balaton is the main performer.

Also, NFNR brings dreamy ambient and IDM from Ukraine, Ancestral Vision arrives from Prague, and Sw@da x Niczos presents Polish-Colombian baile funk.

Consule will arrive from Ljubljana, and the new band of the guitarist of Middlemist Red, Cabrio Cat, which plays catchy, breakbeat/big beat live electronics, will perform.

There will also be Bulgarian electropop (LVA), Kievan electronics (YUVI), and in the closing DJ set, the audience will be able to hear the female member of the Ukrainian DJ collective Shum:rave, alongside Richie Beige.

As part of the cavalcade of styles, Prague's Sundrinker plays prog rock infused with midwest emo and shoegaze, Ukrainian Zlypni plays raw garage rock, Bucharest's Kadjavsi plays melancholic rock. Zagreb's IDEM plays Generation Z feel-good hits, and Estonian singer-songwriter Alonette brings nostalgia for the seventies.

BuSH's special guest is Grammy-nominated Mexican star Silvana Estrada, who will be arriving with her new album, which will be released in the coming days.

The singer-songwriter, who will be performing in the region for the first time, is distinguished by her excellent voice and unique cuatro playing, and is listened to by more than a million people on Spotify every month.

In addition to Analog Balaton, the Hungarian performers include Makrohang (post-rock), Nagy Emma Quintet (jazz), Vidal (darkwave and post-punk), Jules War (art-pop) and Swim Swim Naked (electropop).

As well as musical programs, the festival will feature professional presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions, discussing current global and local music industry trends, issues, and challenges.

Agents of world stars (Beckie Sudgen and Marlon Burton) will come to BuSH to talk about the opportunities they see in the Central and Eastern European region.

Borderlands sync master Leonhard van Voorst will talk about how music gets into video games.

Plus there will also be a talk about the world of showcase festivals, and a "speed date" for music industry figures will be organized, where you can talk to music journalists, bookers, label executives and the program organiser of the Fusion festival.

Lahmacun Radio is holding a roundtable discussion on ethical streaming, and the deputy director of Madrid's Mad Cool and the main organizer of the uncertain Sziget festival are discussing the future of major festivals.
