Forint Reaches 18-Month High
The forint exchange rate has been hovering around its strongest level in a year and a half this week, trading near 385.4 against the euro on Wednesday, Portfolio reports.

The currency also firmed against the dollar to trade at 336.5.

Beyond the major currencies, the forint has continued to appreciate against several regional peers, underscoring its recent broad-based strength, Portfolio comments.

At around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the forint strengthened to 386.64 against the euro, up from 387.96 late Tuesday.

It rose to 336.88 from 337.55 versus the dollar and gained to 415.24 from 417.24 against the Swiss franc.
