Close to One-Fourth of Hungary's E-Commerce is with Chinese Platforms
Imports, mostly from China, made up 24pc of e-commerce in Hungary in 2025, research by consultancy PwC Hungary shows.

Hungary's e-commerce imports climbed 20-22pc, while orders from domestic webshops and ones in other European Union member states rose 6-7pc during the year, PwC's survey of digital commerce shows.

Hungarians spent around HUF 2,100bn online in 2025, 8pc more than a year earlier. Order numbers also rose 8pc, to more than 120 million.

China's Temu was the biggest online platform, serving 2.1 million Hungarian consumers. Temu was also market leader in terms of order numbers and purchase value.

The survey shows 41pc of online shoppers pick up their orders from parcel lockers, of which there are close to 10,000 in Hungary.

Almost half of online orders are pre-paid.
