Leasing Market in Hungary Grows Close to 7% Last Year
The value of new leases in Hungary rose rose 6.6pc to HUF 969.8bn in 2024, the head of the Hungarian Leasing Association said.

The number of contracts increased 16.5pc to 84,282, Istvan Zs Nagy said.

The entire leasing portfolio reached HUF 2,374bn at the end of 2024, up 10.9pc from twelve months earlier. Contract numbers slipped 7pc to 318,993 during the period.

SMEs accounted for 62pc of leasing company clients, while big companies made up 18pc, state and institutional clients 11.4pc and retail clients 8.6pc.

Vehicle leases accounted for 56.8pc of total contract value, or HUF 551.4bn.
