Biz Insight: HUF 42 Billion Chips & Iced Tea Plant to Create 440 Jobs in Hungary

The government is supporting the investment, which will create 440 jobs, with HUF 8.3bn, Szijjarto said. The plant will make iced tea, potato chips and tortilla chips, processing 200,000 tonnes of potatoes and 50,000 tonnes of maize, he added.
Local farmers will supply 90pc of feedstock, he said, adding that at least 85pc of the output of the plant, Dogus Cay's first abroad, would be exported.
Turkish companies have made ten big investments in Hungary in recent years, he said.
