Slovenia PM Accepts Magyar's Invitation to Visit Budapest
Slovenian acting Prime Minister Robert Golob on Monday congratulated by phone Peter Magyar on his victory in Hungary's election and accepted an invitation from Magyar to visit Budapest in May, the Slovenian government said in a post on X.

According to the post, Magyar shared with Slovenia European Union values and an approach to addressing current challenges. They also noted strong historical ties between Hungary and Slovenia.

Golob earlier called Magyar's electoral win a huge victory over right-wing populism, saying it was crucial for Europe's future.

Meanwhile, Romania FM congratulates Tisza's foreign policy expert Anita Orban

Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu has congratulated Anita Orban of Hungary's Tisza on the opposition party's recent election win, and invited Orban, who is expected to be the new foreign minister, to visit Bucharest.

In an X post, Toiu said she admired Tisza's "examplary mobilisation" of Hungarian communities as well as the party's election campaign based on direct contact with voters.

Toiu suggested that the Hungarian election results showed that power may not stay concentrated in the hands of "certain politicians" for ever. The people have sovereign power and will demand a better future, she added.

The talks between Toiu and Orban focused on a new approach to Hungary's foreign policy, based on mutual respect and a joint effort to build closer bilateral ties in an effort to improve the life of voters in both countries, the post said.
