New AI Hub in Hungary Helps Users Navigate Risks & Report Deepfake Abuse
Hungary's government has launched a new website designed to answer questions about artificial intelligence and allow users to report potential AI-related rights violations.

Science and Technology Minister Zoltán Tanács announced the launch of mihivatal.gov.hu in a Facebook post on Thursday, warning that AI-generated deepfakes, images and videos are increasingly being used to deceive and harm both individuals and businesses.

"Nowadays, anyone can create a video of someone saying or doing things they never actually did," Tanács said in a video accompanying the announcement.

He noted that measures such as the European Union's AI Act are intended to reduce these risks by requiring AI-generated content to be clearly labelled.

According to the minister, the new website explains how AI regulations affect everyday life and provides guidance on the safe use of the technology.

It also enables users to submit complaints if they believe their own rights, or those of others, have been violated through the misuse of artificial intelligence.
