The week is spread across the city rather than being based at a single festival venue, giving expats the chance to discover different cafés while exploring Budapest’s specialty coffee scene.

Participating venues include Budapest Baristas, Madal Café, Arch & Beans, VAJ, Tamp & Pull and My Little Melbourne. 

The line-up also includes Budapest Bakehouse, PicoPico and Rajkai Espresso, offering plenty of opportunities to discover different coffee styles and atmospheres around the city.

More participants include Coffee Capital, Waycup, Apricot Coffee, Kelet, VIVINA’S, Lion’s Locker and Strudel Garden Café, with other venues spread across different parts of Budapest.

A Coffee Passport will be available at participating cafés, allowing visitors to collect stamps as they visit different venues and take part in prize draws. The passport was also part of the inaugural Coffee Week in 2025, when thousands were distributed.

The programme includes more than 30 workshops, tastings and other events. Expats can learn about different coffee origins and processing methods, take part in cuppings, try brewing techniques, watch roasting demonstrations and explore latte art.

Some participating venues will also offer limited-edition drinks and special food pairings, including coffee and chocolate tastings and collaborations between cafés and local roasteries.

Roastery visits will provide a behind-the-scenes look at how specialty coffee is selected and roasted, while guided tastings will focus on the differences created by origin, processing and roasting.

Most of these visits are free, although some workshops and tastings have limited capacity and require advance registration.
