The British International School Budapest Annual PTA Charity Gala
An evening of fun and fundraising was enjoyed by nearly 200 parents, friends and staff of BISB as the Parent Teacher Association held its Annual Charity Gala on Saturday 14th April at the Budapest Marriott .
The guests of honour at the event, celebrating the end of a year commemorating 25 years of educational excellence in Budapest, was Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Hungary, Iain Lindsay OBE and his wife Mrs Bridget Lindsay.
The Gala raised over 5 million Forints in support of the PTA’s favourite charities, thanks largely to the many donors and sponsors who gave so generously to these good causes.
The most popular auction prize was a breakfast cooked by school staff, it was a hard fought battle as parents looked forward to having bacon, homemade sausage, beans, black pudding and fried bread cooked for them in their own home.
The evening was rounded off by dancing to ABBA tunes by ‘Just Showband’ who kept everyone entertained in an amazing fashion.
