Rupert is pretty much interested in everything and in his free time exercises like a maniac, drinks too much, consumes himself with current affairs, follows arsenal irrationally and generally lives a full life.

He is also the reigning gift of the gab champion. All who know him know he can talk the hind legs off a donkey.

1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
November 2008. Someone offered me a rather good job

2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
Yes in Poland, Ireland and Russia.

3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
How beautiful and liveable Budapest is. Especially after living in Moscow

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
Walk up to the citadel and then jump into either the Gellért or Széchenyi baths.

5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
Goose liver, but don't tell anybody because it is nasty to geese.

6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Something that has gone stale. I travel 200 days a year, so I am permanently buying things I throw away. Terrible I know.

7. What is your favourite Hungarian word?
Kiváló.... excellent I am told and I am sure spelled wrong. My Hungarian is utterly atrocious. Travelling doesn't help that.

8. What do you miss the most from home?
Twiglets and some close friends

9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
A comedian

10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
Something to do with IT or spreadsheets

11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
St Lucia in the Caribbean

12. Where do you hope to spend your next one?
Not sure, two days pooped onto a biz trip to Dubai or New York.

13. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
The clash, raging bull and playing table tennis.. Anyone fancy a game?

14. What can't you resist?
Beer, particularly on Fridays

15. Red wine or white?
Meat or fish... normally red

16. Book or movie?
When my brain is settled, nothing like a good book

17. Morning person or night person?
Night person

18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
Erosion of human rights. Not happy about what is happening in Hungary at the moment.

19. Buda side or Pest side?
Pest

20. What would you say is your personal motto?
Live life to the full and help others live life to the full also.
