XpatLoop Interview Two: Attila Horváth
1. What’s been happening at work and at home since your first Xpat Interview?


Our daughters got one and a half years “older” while laughing a lot. And at work we became a stronger dealership and garage. (I’m knocking it on wood.)

2. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with your life in Hungary, and why?
I like my personal life and hopefully I’ll like it more and more. Concerning the country - It’s unpleasant to say but it is not more than 3 at the moment. I always try to avoid to get into politics but if you take a look around... Not really inspiring, rather letting you down instead of revitalising the economy.

3. What’s the best party you’ve been to while in Hungary, and why?
There are different kinds of. Our marriage, more rock concerts, and more parties organised with my friends.

4. What’s your favourite drink?
White wine and fresh fruit drinks.

5. What hidden talents do you have?
Oh, I wish I had discovered it so far.

6. What was the most interesting travel trip you have ever taken?
Any of them, you can always learn a lot with your eyes and ears open.

7. If you were given a wish that could come true, what would you ask for?
Long lasting health for my family and friends.

8. What’s the last book you read, and movie you watched?
Hungarian personal names :-) And currently Eneagram / The King’s speech

9. If someone wrote a biography about you, what would the title be?
Never thought about it, really.

10. What is the perfect pizza toppings combination for you?
Prosciutto and ruccola on tomato.

11. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, real or fictional, with whom would it be?
Roger Taylor, drummer of Queen, or Jean Ragnotti (rallye driver).

12. On a scale of 1 to 10 how unusual are you, and why?
4 - I’m slightly more even tempered than the average and was never a mainstream orientated.

13. What’s the best website you’ve ever visited, and why?
Youtube, mostly for music videos.

14. Who do you admire the most, and why?
Children for their inspiring behaviour.

15. What do you like best and least about living in Hungary?
The feeling that it’s my home + the beauty of the country + the unique language / Pessimism + intolerance.

16. What has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
The birth of our children. The changes they created in my mentality and our preferences.

17. If you won USD 30 million, what would you do with the money?
Saving up for our children, helping family members and friends, reasonable charity activity, travelling and buying great cars.

18. If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
These are the days of our lives

19. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
The Mediterranean’s. Especially somewhere in Italy or Andalusia.

20. In ten years from now what will you be doing?
Feeling good, taking care of our children, have more and more fun, and a job about cars.
