Xpat Interview: James Abhram
"James was born in India in May 1982. After finishing his senior secondary, he moved to Hungary for further studies in 2003.



After learning a lots of things about real life, school and culture, he worked for a company from Denmark. He says Budapest feels like his own home city.

James works in Export - Import business, speaks English, little Hungarian and Italian. During his spare time enjoys playing cricket, football, travelling and cooking."

1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
I came to Hungary in September 2003 with a opportunity to continue my studies here. The first thing which I saw on internet about Hungary was its parliament. It fascinated me very much. but once I arrived here, I decided to stay and later by later I get involved with the beauty of city. After finishing my school, I am happy to be here.

2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
No

3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
I was surprised with the beauty of city. Everything is managed in a very good way. I feel Budapest is the Paris of Easter Europe. I was also surprised about the more relaxed pace of life for such a large city.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
There are so many things to see in Budapest. and I don't feel weekend is enough for it. For my friends I will recommend the Széchényi baths to visit. There is so much related with historical monuments. Of course the best ever clubs in Budapest and not to miss them.

5. What is your favorite Hungarian food?
I love to have Paprikás Csirke and palacsinta. A big bowl of Gulyás in the winter time.

6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Wines and beers.

7. What is your favorite Hungarian word?
Szeretlek

8. What do you miss the most from home?
The home food, friends, and of course my motorbike.

9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
Working for National Geography.

10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
Restaurants.

11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
Rigo de Calabria, Italy.

12. Where do you hope to spend your next one?
Greece

13. What was your favorite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
Band: Ricky Martin, Film: Ocean 12, Hobby: cooking

Wines

White

Depends on mood

Night person

Cat Person

Pest Side : love to be a party boy.
