Xpat Interview: Lucas Leite
Lucas Leite grew up in a tropical town in North Queensland, Australia called Townsville. Back in 2005, after graduating from James Cook University with a Marketing and Management Business degree, like many fellow Australians, he packed his bags and ventured to Europe and has been there ever since. Lucas is also very fortunate due to his father, he holds a dual Nationality Portuguese as well as Australian and has spent a good year discovering his background with family in Portugal and Northern France.

In 2006 crossed the channel to London where for 2 successful years , Lucas applied his degree and knowledge in a Sales Manager's role for a large Health Club (Fitness First). Then an opportunity arose to work as an Assistant Manager in the Wimbledon branch of a chain of Football Leisure Centres associated with the English Football Association.

By the turn of 2009, I realised the impact and implications management has on one's life. At that moment I decided to reignite my passion for Health and Fitness and I did my qualifications through REPS UK to become a Personal Trainer. As a trainer it helps me reclaim my work life balance and I have been responsible in shaping many managers , individuals and groups to re-establish their work/life priorities through bespoke exercise prescriptions.

Thus 2009 has allowed me to participate in cycling tours, compete in the London Triathlon and the Budapest Half Marathon where I aim to set my self new targets in 2010.
