Xpat Interview: Dr Tünde Dorogi
I was born in Budapest I was living on the top of the hills in Ady-liget in the 2 nd district of Budapest. It was fantastic area to grow up and study about surroundings, animals, flowers… Now I have a big family with three sons and we have a house near from Budapest. The forest begins in end of our street, so we don’t need to go too far to the nature. I am a really nature fun and I usually take a tour to the hills with my kids.

I have another big hobby: the wine. It is an endless story to find the good wine in every vintage again and again: white and reds, dry and sweet, from old-world and from the new-world. It is so exciting!

I feel myself very lucky because I can help for people with my job: help to feel theirself better. I think not to easy to find a helper who is as perfect as a member of the family... Our helpers come from Philippines who are absolutely specified to help families all of their household chore: do the laundry, iron clothes, keep the home tidy, cook the meals, do the dishes, do the grocery shopping, pay utility bills, etc. When necessary, the housekeeper will take care of children, take the kids home from the kindergarten or school. If the family has a real Philippines housekeeper, they won’t have to worry about such unpleasant situations because the housekeeper will always be available to do everything around the house.

Filipino housekeepers are highly prized and sought after around the world, and they are known as the most valuable “resource” of the Philippines.
